Overview
The Electromagnetic Thickness Tool (EMT08) has been designed to measure the casing wall thickness. The power is supplied and signals transmitted through mono-conductor cable.
The EMT08 includes an array of twelve miniature sensors. Each obtains one magnetic variation signal. The whole data from the twelve sensors are transmitted through the telemetry cartridge to the surface to be presented in log records.
The EMT08 must be centralized during operating, and a combined use with the multi-finger caliper is recommended. Special interpretation software is provided for interpretation of EMT08 data only or for combined interpretation of EMT08 and multifinger caliper measurements. Three-dimensional imaging output may be realized.
