Overview
The Selective Release Tool (SRT) is mainly used for selective release when a tool tring is likely to getting stuck in such operations as tractor converyance, perforating etc. The tool is an addressable remote-control downhole tool, which can be separated into two sections by commands from surface. When the tool is separated, the upper section is pulled out of hole and the other section stays in hole as a fishing neck for later fishing operation. The upper and lower sections are separately pressure-isolated to prevent well fluids from entry.
