Rosneft sets a new record for drilling speed with the help of new technology
Gazprom (Gazprom) recently set a new record for drilling speed in its Novoportovskoye field, completing a horizontal shaft of 1000 meters in less than three days (2.93 days or 70 hours and 33 minutes).
This new record is achieved through the use of an experimental bit, the design of which has been specially adjusted by domestic manufacturers in the permafrost to carry out the drilling operation of the Novi Port project. The new drill bit doubled the drilling speed to 130 meters an hour. The total penetration depth is 5921 meters.
The use of new technology and innovative equipment is an integral part of Gazprom's "technological limit" project. The "technical limit" project is a comprehensive and comprehensive project aimed at improving drilling technology and making it possible to build highly complex oil wells under challenging geological conditions.
