Oil and Gas Pipelines
Seamless Line pipe
Oil and gas line pipe for intra-field pipelines is used to transport crude oil and natural gas from the field to oil refineries and storage facilities, as well as to shipment points and distribution nodes.
Seamless steel tubes for transportation of flammable fluids are produced by hot rolling. The semi-finished product used for these tubes is continuously cast bloom. This group of tubes is mainly set for high pressure pipelines to deliver gases, oil and other flammable fluids in the mining, chemical and energy industry. Line pipes are made from carbon and alloyed steel.
Line pipe - dimensions
The outside diameter of the tubes for transportation of flammable fluids ranges from 0.405 to 4.5 inches (10.3 to 114.30 mm), wall thickness from 0.068 to 0.531 inches (1.7 to 13.5 mm). More detailed dimensions are shown in tables and they are according to the API standards. Preferably the tubes are supplied as hot rolled. Line pipe - types of steel.
Tubes for transportation of flammable fluids are made of the following steels, according to EN 10208-1: L210GA, L235GA, L245GA, L290GA, L360GA, according to EN 10208-2: L245NB, L290NB, L360NB, L415NB and according to API 5L: Grade A, Grade B, Grade X42, Grade X46, Grade X52, Grade X60. Steel is made in the electric arc furnace and it is fully killed.
Line pipe - delivery condition and surface
Usually the tubes are supplied as hot rolled. Only tubes with DN 6 -10, perhaps tubes of other dimensions are supplied as cold drawn and after forming they are heat treated. This is done as per precious agreement. The tube surface meets corresponds to the means of manufacturing.

Ends of the tubes
Ends of tubes are smooth, without threads.
From 60.3 diameter beveled according to standards:
DIN, EN - a = 40° - 60°, c = to 2 mm
ASME - a = 75° ± 5°, c = 1,6 ± 0,8 mm
Marking of the tubes and tube bundles
Tubes with diameter up to 1 ½” are marked with label on the bundle. Tubes with larger diameter than 1 ½” are implemented according to directives or upon request.
Line pipe - surface protection
Line pipes are supplied without temporary protection against corrosion. Upon request it is possible to deliver tubes with agreed upon anticorrosion protection. The tube ends may be enclosed by a plastic plug.
Line pipe -packaging
The tubes are bound with steel band into bundles weighing from 1000 to 3500 kg. The bundle is tied with four bands.
Line pipe - testing
Tubes are tested according to requirements of the appropriate standards. In all ceases the tube leaking test is performed. Tubes meet the directive requirements NACE MR 0175. covering resistance to acid environment (SSC – Sulfide Stress Cracking). When ordering the tubes it is possible to agree upon the carbon content value (CEV).
